Enjoy you own Aquaponics Farm to
grow your own vegetables and homegrown fish.
You may be aware of all the doom and gloom that is on the world stage today, maybe even in your own town, and you have perhaps become a bit concerned at the prices and selections from your local markets. Most likely, you’re an urban dweller who is reading this, and of course you do have at least three days of food in the house at all times (although, these meals could require you to eat pasta, some of the dried beans or canned stuff, but you could get by).
But, you may have a vague uneasy feeling that if, IF, anything should happen, you could be in a deep smelly mess very quickly regarding basic elements of self care for you and your family. You may even have made some tentative plans. You know, you have a good car with a GPS, a tent, a set of hiking gear and maybe even a gun to take with you <just kidding>. Now, here’s the really tough question that you will have to ask yourself: Where will you be going to, IF the smelly stuff hits the fan? Hmm
Well, we can show you how to create a comfortable level of food security for you and your family. How would you feel if you could raise most of the vegetables your family could eat plus some fish once or twice a week in a space the size of your current living room? A 10 foot x 15 foot greenhouse using our information will provide most of the vegetables a couple can eat plus a serving of fish once or twice a week, all year round. (Our own 10 foot by 16 foot farm provides us with 500 vegetables and 200 pounds of fish a year.) That is food security (access and availability) at its finest. Your system can be in the backyard, on a patio (ours is on our sundeck), in the side yard, in the vacant lot next door.

Facilitated by the Inventor of Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems, Colle Davis.
1) In the one-day Introductory Course, we teach the fundamentals of aquaponics and show you how to create a closed loop system for growing your own food. You'll see how you can put together your own backyard aquaponics system.
2) In the three-day Intensive Course, you'll learn the fundamentals of aquaponics, and how to construct, operate and maintain your own aquaponics system. The class will build a complete and functioning aquaponics system during the course. You will learn how to install a grow-tray system, the placement and plumbing of the fish tank and all you need to know about the settling tank.
With a basic aquaponics system, you can grow at least some of your food no matter what happens to the food supply in your area. You need some fish to provide the poop for the fertilizer, some water, a load of gravel and plants to make your survival kit located close by. You can learn the basics to build
your own Aquaponics Farm in these courses, and you can construct your own system in as little as a couple of days with a little help from a friend, using materials from your local home center. What are you waiting for? Class sizes are limited so call today to enroll in either of the Aquaponics Courses - 858-750-2176 or email.
Food security, home style.
The Introduction and Intensive Courses both explain the building requirements of the structure necessary to protect your system. You will learn which plants do best in your local climate and at what times of the year to plant them. The care and feeding of your poop source is covered because the fish are necessary even if you’re a vegetarian. What do you do with the fish if you are a vegetarian? Name them and keep them as pets. No kidding.
You will learn what the plants and the fish need to produce great quantities of produce and delicious fish protein on nearly a daily basis, year round. Your training will prepare you to build, operate and maintain a small backyard aquaponics system wherever you happen to live. You will learn what plants do best in what seasons. You will also receive the list of seed companies and fish breeders we use and recommend.
In the Intensive Course, we cover how to adapt an existing pond or large tank as the water source and a home for the fish. We don’t recommend this arrangement, but we will cover it in the Intensive Course, so if you have a pond or tank, we’ll show you how to leverage it into an aquaponics system.

Please be aware that we will not be teaching you to duplicate or build a Portable Farms™ Aquaponics System.
Our proprietary technology is our intellectual property and our trade secrets which are protected by law and contracts.
You will however, learn how to run an Aquaponics Farm to produce vegetables and fish in a closed loop system. You will receive the instructions, hands on guidance and a workbook to take with you to guide you in building your own aquaponics system. Remember, food security.
We cover the use of solar and alternative power and heat sources and give you a list of suppliers and vendors for all the products mentioned in the class.
